Seymour Reservoir Debris Boom

Seymour Reservoir Debris Boom

Metro Vancouver crews are installing a 580-metre-long debris boom mid-lake in the Seymour Reservoir to protect the Seymour Dam from potential blockage or damage caused by woody debris. As rugged as the surrounding environment, it’s engineered and anchored to withstand thousands of pounds of debris, ice, wind, and even floods in the Seymour Water Supply Area.
