A new full-service washroom facility is being built at Derby Reach Regional Park in the Township of Langley.

Derby Reach Regional Park continues to experience strong visitation, with a record 1,321,400 visits last year. The new washrooms will be located in the Edgewater Bar area of the park, which features a campground and is one of the busiest, most accessible day-use areas in the regional parks system.

The washroom building will replace the pit toilets and upgrade sanitation, accessibility, and comfort for visitors in the park, including campers. The building will include washrooms, showers, and a covered outdoor space with seating. It is designed to fit the park’s rural setting and will include landscaping with connections to the park’s trail network.

Construction is expected to be complete by early next year.
