Angela Oguntala and Katie Treggiden will deliver the opening and closing keynote addresses at the 2022 Zero Waste Conference on September 28 and 29.

The annual event is back in person in 2022 with a curated program that includes global and local leaders in circularity and zero waste thinking. From inspiring keynote presentations to thought provoking panels to exciting new innovators, the conference offers something for everyone. Come and engage in the discussions and networking opportunities.

Salzburg Global Fellow Angela Oguntala is a founding partner at Greyspace, a foresight and design consultancy that partners with organizations to envision and transition towards desirable futures. She has deep expertise and interest in collective imagination, sustainable transitions, and experimental processes to catalyze innovation.

Oguntala will start us out with a keynote that draws on her work consulting with major corporations on the intersection of design and foresight — how a design approach can get you to your desired outcomes.

Katie Treggiden is an author, journalist, podcaster, and keynote speaker championing a circular approach to design. She is also the founder and director of Making Design Circular, a membership community in which designer-makers get to feel proud of contributing to a thriving planet with every product they make.

Treggiden will close the conference with a talk on how zero waste is being accomplished by thinkers, makers, and doers who are treating trash as treasure — and how that gives way for all of us to rethink our conceptions of waste.
