Metro Vancouver is starting construction on the Watershed Centre, a new facility in the Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve that will provide visitors with opportunities to learn about water management and conservation.
The 370-square-metre facility will have a full-sized classroom for educational and stewardship programs, act as a new office space for staff, and will include interpretive elements portraying the region’s drinking water supply system. These elements will be interactive and accessible for staff and visitors throughout the building.
Site preparation is underway and construction is set to begin in April. The Watershed Centre is expected to be complete in February 2023 and will be located adjacent to the main parking lot.
