Climate 2050 Discussion Papers Chart Options for a Carbon Neutral Region
Greenhouse Gas Emission Sources

Metro Vancouver has published a series of discussion papers that address different aspects of the region’s climate action strategy, Climate 2050.

The six discussion papers published to date cover transportation, buildings, industry, agriculture, waste management, and nature and ecosystems. Each paper describes ways to reduce greenhouse gases, adapt to climate change and further improve air quality.

The papers will be used to develop a parallel series of roadmaps for climate action in the region. The roadmaps will identify the long-term goals, targets, strategies and actions needed to transition to a carbon neutral region that is resilient to the impacts of climate change.

The papers also support the development of the Clean Air Plan and other Metro Vancouver management plans. Additional discussion papers are expected later this year.

We need your input to make sure that the best ideas come forward. Visit our webpage to read the discussion papers – in full or in summary – and fill out a feedback form.
