What’s Christmas without carols? Not as merry and bright, that’s for sure. To get people in the holiday spirit, Metro Vancouver has come up with its own yuletide carol as part its Create Memories, Not Garbage campaign.
The campaign has continued to evolve over the past nine years. New designs, new features and even a Merry Maker Memory app. This year, it has its own Christmas song – written, composed and performed by local musicians Ben and Dan. The song, aimed at encouraging people to celebrate with less waste, will be played on 103.5 QMFM Vancouver’s Christmas Station and Spotify.
See it to believe it – the music video, featuring footage from Aurora Winter Festival and Surrey’s Tree Lighting Festival, will be promoted on social media and YouTube.
With only a month until Christmas, the campaign aims to inspire residents to do one thing differently this season to celebrate with less waste. Have yourself a merry little Christmas.
